I recommend sysutils/rsnapshot which is a wrapper for rsync that makes
incremental backups.

proclus:~> bpkg -i rsnapshot
*** installed ***
sysutils/rsnapshot: rsnapshot-1.3.0

Port: rsnapshot-1.3.0
Path: /usr/ports/sysutils/rsnapshot
Info: Filesystem snapshot utility based on rsync(1)
Maint: r.vdooren at snow.nl
B-deps: perl-5.8.8 rsync-2.6.9_1
R-deps: perl-5.8.8 rsync-2.6.9_1
WWW: http://www.rsnapshot.org

I usually backup particular directories with rsnaphot only though. As
far as backing up
whole filesystems I think dump(8) is a much better option.
