We are seeking somebody for a short term (at least 2 month)
consulting position helping us define and set up our Linux development
environment. We will be using x86/Linux as a development host for
deployment on an ARM and PQ2/Linux embedded platform, and need
assistance setting up a Linux developer workstation with appropriate
IDE, compiler, build toolchain, and development tools. Additionally
during this project we will need help creating makefiles, scripts to
deal with source code control, and possibly other tools.
Linux development experience is required, as well as a breadth of
knowledge of tools used in the Linux space, especially on the GNU
compiler toolchain. This person should be an expert in this area and
able to produce recommendations almost immediately, and begin to set up
and document the development environment.
* Required Skills:
Required Skills/Experience:
· C/C++ on Linux
· Strong verbal and written communication – should leave behind a
document explaining how to configure and use dev environment.
· GNU toolchain (gcc,gdb, gprof, make, automake, autoconfig, bin
utils)
· Linux C++ IDEs (to help us select and configure)
· Knowledge of available / appropriate profilers, memory usage
analysis tools, etc.
Desired Skills/Experience:
· ClearCase
· Unix/Linux system administration (this is not an administrative
role, however we would like some understanding of this area)
· Cross compilers
· Unit test frameworks
· QT library
