If different processes were involved in the boot sequence, that just may
have an effect on time-to-desktop, but since it's left unaddressed, I
guess we'll never know.

So the answer is "no".
Having log files and processing them to extract startup times,
sequencing, etc. is quite different.

Installed, yes. Used, no.
I used OS/2 back in the day and have experienced the hassle of using
niche software that isn't well supported and do not wish to subject
myself to that again unless there's a compelling reason.
It was a bit of a hassle initially using Linux as a daily driver, but
it's gotten so much better in the past 10-ish years.
